Private residence located on the water front of Lake Kalamalka in the Okanagan region of British Columbia.

The client required the home to serve in the long term as their retirement residence. Consequently, the main floor was designed with one level living in mind. All primary living spaces, service functions and the master bedroom were placed on this level and all easily accessible without stairs.
The design of the building is inspired by the site. The exterior finishes and colours were selected to complement and blend with the natural environment. Views of the lake are maximized from every room in the home and from generous patio spaces located on the main and lower floors facing the lake. The result is a building which rests comfortably in it’s natural setting.
